How We Work & What We Do
The open-cell spray foam consists of several main ingredients which have been chosen due to their quality and low environmental impact.
The main base product is oil from two sources:
These are mixed with a hardener and is water-blasted. The final product is a stable, PH-stable insulation product that lasts the lifetime of the building.
All prep and materials are done onsite from one of our trucks. Our trained applicators then spray the exterior walls & underside of the roof substrate. As they spray, the insulation expands to seal any gaps or cracks, forming an air seal and sound barrier around your home. This system creates an envelope, insulating you from the outside environment and airborne allergies like pollen.
We then introduce a heat recovery system, which acts like the lungs of the house. Transporting stale air out of your home and replacing it with fresh air giving you a healthier, happier home.
Get In TouchRecently, the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment published a consultation document outlining acceptable solutions and verification methods to the building code. This included plans to increase the insulation standards in New Zealand to keep pace with international standards.
What that means is the R-value for homes built in NZ is set to rise in the near future, and insulation solutions will need to rise to the occasion. Our foam insulation is designed to meet any standard on homes built today.
Foam insulation is efficient and durable, not sagging over time like existing fibreglass products. It lasts the lifetime of the building. Our foam is made with soyabeans, recycled plastics and is blown with water, not formaldehyde, making it a sustainable and healthier alternative.
Installing Insulfoam is an investment as it adds more value to the building and saves the owner money on energy bills.
Get In TouchInstallation of Insulfoam is done by our qualified local teams, who communicate with builders to get the job done to our high standards.
Your average sized NZ house would typically take 2-3 days to install. Once the foam is in and heat recovery system installed, our system is complete.
If any electrical or plumbing alterations need to take place, the foam can easily be removed and replaced in sections to work with the changes.
